On Saturday, September 14, 2024, the 5th Logging Championship is being organized, at the Apolymeni Petra resort, which is located in the heart of Holomont, near the mountainous Taxiarchis, 20 minutes away from Polygyros.
With its distinctive character and true to its annual appointment, the nationwide Logging Championship promises to give us a festive day of logging activities, with the aim of highlighting the need to protect forests and our environment.
The championship will include "track and field" 4 events:
- Clearing up Log cut from both sides
- Vertical precision cut: cut without the saw touching the bottom of the wood
- De-cubing from a log: precise cutting in a wooden cylindrical structure, with the aim of creating a square box
The top 3 of the competitions will be awarded with great prizes from Husqvarna. Husqvarna gifts will also be distributed to spectators through raffles, while all participants and attendees will receive participation mementos.
As every year, this year as well, alongside the championship and the running of the competitions, the attendees will have the opportunity to watch parallel thematic activities, such as the talented wood carver, Mr. Angelos Patsiatzis, who will perform a live demonstration of wood carving with chainsaws, creating unique works of art.
Entry is free for the public, who will have the opportunity to enjoy the intensity of the competitions in a unique event. All spectators will be entered into a draw from which two winners will be selected who will win unique Husqvarna gifts*.
