On Friday, June 2, 2023, in the welcoming area of the Silver Market, organized by the Foundation "Leda, Nanas and Spyros Doukas" and in co-organization with the website pelop.gr and the Region of Western Greece, an interesting and important day was held on the subject of " Civil Protection in Achaia".
The event was attended by Mayors and competent Deputy Mayors from the Municipalities of Achaia (Patreon, Aegialia, Kalavryta, West Achaia, Erymanthos), as well as all the involved bodies - at regional and local level - from the Fire Department, the Hellenic Police and the Coast Guard and Central Port Authority, but also representatives of groups volunteers.
Pantelis Papadopoulos SA (exclusive representative for Greece of the Husqvarna company) and sponsor of the conference, was represented by Mr. Photios Rapti, who in his speech pointed out our corporate responsibility, to inform about the actions we must take as responsible citizens and regarding the use of our products, with the aim of preventing forest fires.
Also, an informative brochure (which you can find here), with material on fire prevention, was distributed between June 1-3, by volunteer groups, in two places in Patras (Riga Feraios and Agios Nikolaos and Gounari and Riga Feraios) , in Aigio (in the coastal area), in Kalavrita (in the central pedestrian street) and in Kato Achaia (in Democracy Square), in an effort to best possible information to citizens.
The Corporate Responsibility that governs Pantelis Papadopoulos S.A.E. always brings to the fore the need for prevention and protection, both of citizens and of the natural landscape of our country, and our actions in this context will continue during the summer season. It is our wish that the summer of 2023 ends without fires.
