Select the generator that suits your needs
With a diesel auto-start *, silent, generator by KIPOR you can be sure that you’ll never again be in the dark.
KIPOR is a reliable and economic solution against the power outage from your main power supplier (DEI).
Choose the appropriate for your needs generator after reading the tips below :
- Create a list with all of the electrical appliances that you deem necessary to run un-interrupted (for instance fridge , some lights, tools, pumps or any other necessary machinery).
- Separate a device that has the higher power requirements during the power-on stage (on the following charts you can see a range of appliances and their indicative power requirements during start-up as well as continuous operation.
- Calculate the power that your generator has to have.
- Sum the power consumption of the continuous operation needs of all the appliances that you wish to use.
- If the total consumption is higher than the starting-up consumption of one of your appliances then you need to select the generator based on the sum of power of all your appliances in continuous operation, otherwise you need to select a generator based on the starting power rating of that specific appliance.
- Add 10% to the above calculation as “buffer power”
The outcome is the power output that your generator needs to have in continuous operation.
For example you need to operate with your generator an air-condition, an electric mower and a fridge. Based on the charts, the continuous consumption of these are 1500+1200+330=3.030 W. Altough the higher starting-up power requirement is that of the air-condition with 3700 W, this exceeds the continuous ratings of all three appliances. Therefore the generator should be chosen based on that rating, and adding a safety 10% (The generator needs to provide 3700+10%=4.070 W in continuous operation).

*Auto-start: The generator will start automatically if there is a power outage or lower quality power fom the main power provider (DEI). As soon an the main power comes back, the generator shuts off itself automatically and the power from the provider is restored.
